PROJECT

Introduction [Biosketch]

  • Shuprajhaa is a researcher in Instrumentation and Control Engineering with expertise in the design and development of intelligent controllers for complex real-world applications. Her research focuses on both classical and advanced control strategies, including classical model based and model free reinforcement learning–based adaptive control for stable, unstable, and nonlinear processes. In addition to core control systems research, her work extends to the application of artificial intelligence, deep learning, and smart sensing techniques for quality assessment, predictive modeling, and decision-support systems in agriculture domain. This includes the development of non-invasive sensing solutions, and AI-enabled tools for quality evaluation and process monitoring, particularly in banana and postharvest systems. Her research also involves food biochemistry with a focus on analytical instrumentation for material characterization, quality analysis, and functional evaluation of biomaterials. She is also a recipient of the DST INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship and leads a funded research project on the valorisation of banana fibre waste for the development of advanced fruit quality assessment nano-sensors.
