Short Biographical Sketch

Dr. Lalu Seban completed his schooling at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kottayam, Kerala in 2005. He obtained his B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from College of Engineering Kidangoor, Cochin University of Science & Technology in 2009. He received his M.Tech. degree from NIT Trichy in 2012.

From June 2012 to January 2013, Dr. Lalu Seban worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, St. Joseph’s College of Engineering & Technology, Palai, Kerala. On 16 January 2013, he joined the department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, NIT Silchar as an Assistant Professor (AGP 6000). In July 2013 he also started his Ph.D. work under the guidance of Prof. Binoy K. Roy, Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Silchar. He successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis on July 2018.

On 22 November 2019, Dr. Lalu Seban got promoted to Level – 11 and on 6 August 2022, he got promoted to Level – 12.

Three Ph.D. scholars are actively working with Dr. Lalu Seban now – Miss. Pragnaleena Debroy, Mr. Soumik Chakraborty, and Mr. Tapan Barman.

The family of Dr. Lalu Seban includes his wife, Dr. Jisha Francis, and daughter, Evania.
