SHORT BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Shankar.K., was born in Madurai, Tamilnadu, India on 11th June 1977 and completed his Higher Secondary in St.Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Madurai in 1994 with 76.16%. He completed his B.E. (Instrumentation and Control Engineering) with First Class at A.K.College of Engineering (Madurai Kamaraj University) in the year 1998 with First class and M.Tech. (Biomedical Engineering) with 8.0 CGPA at Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai in the year 2006. He was awarded with Ph.D. degree in the broad area of Biomedical Engineering (the title of the thesis is “Experimental Studies on Objective Pain Measurement using Ingenuously developed Pain Inducer”) from Anna University, Chennai in 2017.

1. “Establishment of Science Technology and Innovation Hub in NIT Silchar, Cachar, Assam, for the socio-economic upliftment of SC/ST population in Assam”, Sponsored by DST, New Delhi. Project duration: 2022-2025. Grant: Rs. 1.44 Cror. Status: Ongoing. Role: Co-PI

2. “Establishment of NewGeneration Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (NewGen IEDC) at National Engineering College, Kovilpatti, Tamilnadu”, Funded by NSTEDB-DST, New Delhi and monitored by EDII, Ahmedabad.
